Erotic photography is a style of art photography of an erotic and even a sexually suggestive or sexually provocative nature. Erotic photography is generally a composed image of a subject in a still position. Though the subjects of erotic photography are usually completely or mostly unclothed, that is not a requirement. Erotic photography should be distinguished from nude photography, which contains nude subjects not necessarily in an erotic situation, and pornographic photography, which is of a sexually explicit nature. Pornographic photography generally does not claim any artistic or aesthetic merit.
Since the 1960s erotic photography began to be less commonly referred to as such, to be increasingly described as glamour and boudoir photography.
Erotic photographs are normally intended for commercial use, including mass-produced calendars, pinups and for men’s magazines, such as Penthouse and Playboy, but sometimes the photographs are intended to be seen only by a subject’s partner. The subjects of erotic photographs may be professional models, celebrities or amateurs. Very few well-known entertainers posed nude for photographs. The first entertainer to pose nude for photographs was the stage actress Adah Isaacs Menken (1835–1868). On the other hand, a number of well-known film stars have posed for pinup girl photographs and been promoted in photography and other media as sex symbols. Traditionally, the subjects of erotic photographs have been female, but since the 1970s erotic images of men have also been published.
Q: What is your style?
A: Our work is artistic, tasteful, and inspired by you! Getting to know you through a pre-consultation and discussing what you want allows me to bring your vision to life. I enjoy Contemporary Magazine-Style Boudoir Images, Fine Art Black and White Boudoir Images, and Retro Pin Up Images. We can create a variety of styles in one session or stick with your favorite — it’s up to you!
Q: I don’t know how to pose, will you help?
A: Absolutely! We give you super easy-to-follow instructions and coach you from your facial expression down to the placement of your fingers. Me and Tim work together and we the only people during the shoot. We are both photographers so you will get 2 photographers for price of 1.
Q: How long before I get to see the pictures?
A: You will get all the raw pictures after photoshoot same day. Then you can choose pictures for photo-editing and after you send me your choices it would take 1-2 days to retouch it.
Q: Where do the sessions take place?
A: As far as location goes we have many options. If you have your own location, apartment, house, hotel room, we come to you and bring all our professional equipment to set-up a perfect light. If you don’t have your own location we can find a nice hotel to fit your style. I’m not crazy about shooting in mid or low class hotels, its just too typical. I prefer to shoot in stylish and fancy hotels so it looks nice in the pictures. We also book Luxury apartments for our photoshoots, or professional photo-studios. We have rental studios pretty much in every city we travel, they are different styles and have features. Some have nice sun light option and lots of windows, some are more fashion and have white walls so we could control the light better. Photo-studio rental is good if you want to have more fashion or artistic looking pictures. If weather is nice we can also shoot outdoors. We do a lot of location scouting in every big city and usually have locations selected for outdoor shoots. We can shoot in the Parks, Cool streets and Buildings, Areas that not too busy and away from public so we can be more relaxed with showing a bit more skin. Other than that we can just drive around city stopping by at the cool places and taking pictures. It’s very creative and guarantied great results. Or combine both outdoors and indoors to have more creative shots 🙂
Q: Do we need to meet before our session?
A: Meeting in person ahead of the session is a great way for us to get to know each other and ease your nerves. We can also chat over the phone instead. It will help us get to know you, answer any of your questions, and make it a truly customized experience! We can discuss what to expect during the day, makeup ideas, outfit ideas, the general style/genre of photos you want.
Q: I am older and not my ideal weight, can you still get photos of me like the women on your website?
A: Of course! The funny thing is, the women in my portfolios probably asked the same question before their session! We are happy to say that we’ve photographed women into their 60′s and women beyond size 28, most who have never been in front of a pro’s camera before. We hope by looking at our portfolio that you’ll see beautiful women of all shapes, ages, and sizes.
Q: I have cellulite/stretch marks/acne. Can you get rid of that?
A: Everyone has areas they love more than others, so we use expert posing and lighting techniques to flatter your favorite areas and minimize the areas you like least. Second, removal of acne, blemishes, scarring, stretch-marks, and cellulite is part of the retouching process. Make sure you ask us about photo-retouching service when you schedule your shoot.
Q: I do not want to be displayed on your web site. Will my privacy be assured?
Q: Do you offer any discounts?
A: We send out seasonal special offers through my email newsletter. If you’re not already signed up, please send us email with request to include your in our mailing list.
Q: How do I schedule my photo-shoot?
A: It’s super easy, send us an email requesting our travel schedule. As soon as you received dates available please got to the CONTACT page, select a date and put down a deposit to secure your erotic or boudoir photoshoot. You will receive a confirmation with detailed information and we’ll set up a consultation to answer any questions you have.
